For added convenience, islands with airports also have flights to and from Athens, though they do not connect directly to other islands. Known for its geological wonders, Milos is a paradise for nature lovers and beachgoers. Sarakiniko Beach features stark white volcanic rock formations that create a lunar-like landscape, perfect for exploring and photography. The colorful fishing village of Klima, with its waterfront houses, is a picturesque spot to enjoy fresh seafood and local wines. For beach variety, Milos has over 70 beaches, including Firiplaka with its striking cliffs and Paliochori, where geothermal springs heat the sand. The island also has ancient catacombs, a Roman amphitheater, and the Plaka Castle with panoramic views.
